Best Sand Track in Texas!
Opened in October of 2006.
Montalba is one of the top 2 tracks in Texas to train on.
The terrain is sand with a red clay base down 12-14 inches in most places. As the clay comes up or we dig it up, the soil gets loamy. More so all the time.
We are known as a sand track, but if you haven't been to Montalba in more than 6 months, you need to come see the difference in the dirt. We are still a sand track, but we work the dirt every week to make it better.
The Track is approximately 2 Miles Long with 8 tabletops (including our landmark "White Mountain), a 65' triple (Beaver Valley) an 85' double, whoops, more doubles, and lot's of ROUGH track.
Montalba is difficult for the true beginner, but it is also a track where you will improve quickly. Don't come if you want to trail ride - we are motocross, and there is no place on the track to rest.
We have probably the most sophisticated and efficient water system - anywhere!
Sprinkler Irrigation System - With 2 Water Wells, over 6,000 feet of 2' line underground, 70 water stations that we can use for sprinklers and for manual watering, a 25,000 gallon water tank, and two large booster pumps that keep the entire system pressurized at 65 PSI.
Outdoor National Style Layout
The Track is groomed and watered on Saturday & Sunday Morning and on Weekdays if you call in advance. 5 rider or $75 minimum on weekdays.
